In our pestle and mortar we pummelled John Barleycorn
We met in our grove space in the old part of the forrest. It was very welcoming and great to take two people with us who had not been there before.
Hail and Welcome Aine and Dee.
Our theme was: What have you harvested and what do you cut out?
Each in turn took a few grains of this year’s harvest and pounded them in our own fashion using a pestle and mortar. In this way we gave thanks for our harvest and stated what we were changing.
The pounded grain was then given back to the earth.
